New Directions Veterans Choir Documentary Video Jun 02

Hi Friend,

It’s been a while since I have posted on here. Things have been quite busy around here.

We are in the process of building another website from scratch. It’s coming along slowly, but the goal is to have it completely up by the end of this summer!! Who knows, if things go better than expected it could be sooner. :)

So, with that said, I just couldn’t help myself. Last night, I was incredibly inspired by the New Directions Veterans Choir on TV. I wanted to learn more about who they were so I could share with you more about these amazing Veterans.

They are an a-cappella choir consisting of former homeless vets based in Los Angeles, CA through the New Directions, Inc. (a veteran rehabilitation center).

I also found an inspirational video on youtube which was shot in the spring of 2006. However, the embedding is disabled on this video.

Even though the embedding is disabled, I feel that this documentary deserves to be seen by MILLIONS of people and that is why I am giving you the direct link to this very inspiring video below:

Children Full of Life Documentary Jan 29

Hi Friend,

I came across this heart-warming inspirational documentary which brought tears to my eyes. It is a story of an amazing Japanese teacher, Toshiro Kanamori, who teaches 4th graders how to deal with different emotions through writing in their notebooks then sharing and learning from one another drawing them closer together as not only classmates but true friends.

Toshiro is an amazing example of what all teachers across the world should be like. He truly understands what teaching children is all about and certainly made a positive difference in the lives of these 10 year olds.

I encourage you to watch this documentary called “Children Full of Life” and then, please feel free to share your thoughts by leaving a reply.

Your Friend,

DL Faith

P.S. If this video inspired you, share it with your friends, family, and school teachers too. :) Also don’t forget to rate it below. And as always, no matter what, don’t lose faith and never give up!

Blind Artists Jan 15

Hi Friend,
Today, I would like to share with you something so amazing that it seems unbelievable, but as you will see, it is so true.

I came across a video of a blind painter that amazed me, so I did some research and found he wasn’t the only one. There are many blind artists around the world.

In the bible there is a verse that sums up what the following blind artists are living by. It’s: Walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Without eyesight, these artists reveal to us that they too can see by faith through their artwork. I never could have imagined that a person who is blind could create things so beautiful. God truly has blessed these individuals to inspire millions of people around the world including myself.

I encourage you to take some time to watch the following videos of just a few of these amazing blind artists below.

John Bramblitt
He uses fabric paint to make the outlines, then amazingly, he paints the canvas that turns into a beautiful piece of artwork.

Esref Armagan
Esref was born without eyes in Turkey. He has an amazing ability to draw and paint pictures with his fingers which show perspective.

Ricky Trione
Ricky is a blind painter from Alabama who lost his eyesight in August of 2000. He is an inspiration to many young people as he shares his testimony to them while encouraging them to pursue artwork in their lives.

To see more of Ricky’s artwork visit Ricky’s website.

Lisa Fittipaldi
Lisa Fittipaldi was declared legally blind in 1993. She has written a book “Brush with Darkness: Learning to Paint After Losing My Sight
” that tells her own story of losing her vision and how she learned to paint since then. You can learn more about her by visiting her website Art From the Mind’s Eye

There are many more blind artists around the world. Another website I came across is the National Exhibits of Blind Artists founded in Philadelphia in 1976. In 2008 one of the founders, Michael Coyle passed away but the website is still active with some galleries of featured blind artists and their amazing works.

So, as always, no matter what, don’t lose faith and never give up!

Your Friend,

DL Faith

Happy New Year 2010 Jan 10

Hi Friend,

Wow, we are already 10 days into the new year / decade!

Happy New Year and might I also add NEW DECADE!! Can you believe it?? It’s 2010!!!

I remember when 2000 seemed like it was so far away and then before you knew it, 2000 came and went without any major crisis as was predicted.

And now, here we are 10 years later!! Can you believe how quick the time seems to be passing by?? Ok, ok!! So, how was your holiday season? Did you get a chance to spend time with family and friends? I hope so!!

It seems like I am finally getting back to the normal swing of things after a very exciting holiday season. I had an awesome time with my family and friends celebrating Christmas and New Years together.

Now,  I want to thank all of you for a wonderful 2009. Without you, DontLoseFaith.com would not have reached around the globe like it has. We went from a few hundred visitors / month all the way to thousands of visitors per month as 2009 progressed. It has been truly amazing to see all the different people from over 129 countries stopping in and visiting our little corner on the web.

I look forward to DontLoseFaith having many more thousands of visitors in 2010. What started out to be a little tiny inspirational website filled with email forwards, poems, videos, and stories has truly become bigger than even I could have dared imagined. Thank you once again.

In 2010, I will be adding more inspirational pages for you which will include more email forwards, videos, stories, quotes, gifts and games. I am in the process of putting together some inspirational e-cards for you to send to your family and friends, so as soon as I get that all put together, I will let you know. :)

Happy New Year once again and may 2010 bring you all the blessings you desire. May 2010 be one of the best years ever for you and your family as you remember, no matter what, don’t lose faith and never give up!! God Bless you and I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you soon.

Your Friend,

DL Faith

Jake Olson – A True Inspiration Dec 03

Hi Friend,

I came across this ESPN / YouTube Video Story of Jake Olson today. He is a true inspiration, not only to the USC Trojans who won 28-7 over favored UCLA Bruins, but, also, to all who know him or of him.

Get ready to be inspired by this amazingly brave young man.

I must warn you though, a tissue will probably be needed.

And as always, remember, no matter what, don’t lose faith and never give up!
