While on a routine grocery store trip, I was making my way through the aisles thinking about what I needed to grab next while also wondering what purpose our lives have. It was interesting that those thoughts went through my mind at that point because as I turned the corner, I was faced with the back of a lady’s shirt that stated: Help People Have Fun!.

Wow, that is all her shirt said but what a statement! If we all took time to help people, we would all have fun. The simple principle of reaching out to others that are in need and the joy that comes by doing this, is it.

I quickly finished getting the things I came for and on the way home knew that this inspirational message needed to be shared. Making a difference in other peoples lives means following through on that still small voice inside (the one that comes out of no where telling you to reach out and help someone). When you feel that nudging on your heart, follow through with it and have fun while doing it. You can make a difference even if it’s just listening to others and what they are going through or encouraging someone that has lost hope. Whatever it is, do it! Be an inspiration, help people and have fun!

Following are some examples of people helping people:

• Giving food, money or shelter to the homeless.
• Visiting the sick and disabled to lend them a helping hand
• Praying for those we know are going through tough times
• Listening to people who are going through rough times, then inspire them with some encouraging words
• Inviting someone over to feed them
• When in a drive-through, pay for what was ordered from the people in the car behind you
• When at a grocery store do the same as above
• and so on…
