When Things are Bad Don’t Lose Faith Jun 01

One of the easiest times for someone to lose faith is when things are bad. It seems at that point it is easy to throw in the towel so to speak. But, when things are bad one of the worse things you can do is to lose faith.

Hold on to your faith and know that no matter what you are going through in life, nothing ever is worth losing your faith over. Sometimes, the biggest problem in life for a person is keeping their faith in check. It can become a daily struggle, to hold on to something we cannot see or sometimes cannot even feel.

But in those moments of doubting, if you truly give faith a chance, you will know that holding on to your faith is one of the most important things this life has to offer. We all are born into this world and we all must leave at one point or another to meet and be with our Awesome God in His timing. But, while we are here, the trials and tribulations some of us have to endure sometimes seem to be too much for us.  It’s in these times that the story of the footprints in the sand come to mind. It is a story about a person’s life revealed to the reader through a picture of  two sets of footprints in the sand that sometimes change to only one set of footprints in the sand.  When there was only one set of footprints in the sand, the person questions God on why He wasn’t there. God then reveals to him that during the times in his life that he only saw one set of footprints, was the time that He was carrying him, helping him through those very difficult situations.

If you feel you are all alone, don’t despair. Trust that God has a great plan for your life and that what you are going through is for a purpose. You may not understand the purpose, but God is there to comfort you and to carry you through if you will let Him. He didn’t send His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die for us, for no reason. He sent Jesus because He understood that for us to have eternal life, His only begotten Son had to die for our sins so we could be with Him forever. Jesus loved us so much that He died on a cross for us, then 3 days later rose again. It was only through this sacrifice that we were and are redeemed.

One of my favorite songs to sing when I am doubting my faith is “Jesus Loves Me”. It is a simple song, yet so powerful in it’s meaning. Just in case you have never heard it, the words to it are: “Jesus loves me this I know, For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes Jesus loves me, Yes Jesus Loves me, the Bible tells me so.”

With God all things are possible, so, if you are having a tough time, He is right there carrying you through it. He loves all of us so very much.

I don’t know what our futures hold, but I do know Who holds our futures. All of ours. We are all living today at this very moment in time because this is our time to be alive and to share with all who are around us, God’s redeeming love. God is love…..so today…remember, no matter what, don’t lose faith and never give up!

Your Friend,

DL Faith :)

Faith- What does it mean? May 24

Each day that goes by leaves me wondering what faith means. As I reflected on the word faith, I came up with an acronym for the word.
F=Forgiven
A=As
I=I
T=Trust
H=Him!
So what exactly does this acronym have to do with Faith? I believe that God wants us to trust Him which is part of faith. In the book of Mark chapter 2:3-5 tells us: “Some men came, bringing to Him a paralytic, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” ”
So trusting Him and having the strong faith to do what seemed impossible because of all the obstacles standing in their way, gave the paralytic more than what he probably could even imagine. Jesus not only healed his paralysis, but He forgave him of his sins.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. So to me trusting in Him is part of faith and as I trust Him, I am forgiven because that is why Jesus died, to forgive all of us of our sins. God loves us so much that He allowed His only begotten Son to die for all of our sins so we could all have eternal life. He loves me and you and everyone that has ever lived and all those who will live after us.
This realization of what faith means and my thoughts on faith today leaves me in awe of God’s love for us.
I would like it if you would leave your inspirational thoughts about what faith means to you and what you think about my idea of what faith is.
May today this acronym that I came up with inspire you to know that not only me, but all of us can say: With faith I am ‘forgiven as I trust Him’.
And of course, as always, no matter what, don’t lose faith and never give up!
I look forward to hearing from you below.
In His Love,
DL Faith
